TOOL REPAIR TECHNICIAN (Central Tool Shop)

JOB SUMMARY
The Tool Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various small tools used by generating plants and power delivery headquarters. The technician in this position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide variety of battery-operated, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools, also to include small engines, and test equipment. Other duties include data entry, inventory management, and basic computer skills. This position is located at the Central Tool Shop facility in Forest Park, GA. However, on occasion, you will be expected to travel to other work locations to repair tools on-site.
Candidates must be able to support a 24/7 work schedule including holidays and overtime when necessary. Must be willing to work various shifts as needed, but generally days. Subject to callout overtime situations.
The starting salary will be based upon the conditions of the Memorandum of Agreement Wage Schedule between Georgia Power and IBEW Local Union Number 84.

TRAINING
Tool Repair Technician will undergo training which includes on-the-job training with classroom training and/or vendor training.
